I first bought it to expand my video conferencing these days. No more shaky camera from a laptop sitting on my feet. No more unattractive upward camera angles. No more hot legs from the laptop and my legs move freely under the board (I'm a small person). This thing is lightweight, so if I need to move I just take it with my laptop and put it on a side table. Make sure the board extends slightly beyond the armrests of the chair as it could tip over with the laptop on it. I love the extra space it creates on the side of the notebook for pens/paper. However, my newest love of this thing is reading. I ended up getting one of the leather goods book scales, and with the book open on the board I can read hands-free. Check!
