Review on MARMOT Kids PreCip Eco Pant by Alvin Peoples

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good fit, light NOT durable

Pants look good and fit well for my son who is sometimes hard to find - he is very tall for his age and skinny: 9 years old , 4'11 inches, 74 pounds. Love the ankle zips that can be removed/put on without taking off your hiking boots, but we never really tested that to see if it worked or not. Lightweight and very compact pants - great for hiking EXCEPT if your 9 year old wants to be 9 year old and slide on his back over rocks etc. The owner had been on 3 overnight hikes for about a year and a few more at the time of this review times. . The last time the seat had ripped open and slid off the rock on his back. If your kid is careful or you don't do anything rough with the pants, they are amazing and you should get them. If you have 2 younger children you have been hoping that one day they will grow up like me, maybe you are looking for something permanent (or cheaper and easily replaceable). In general, I'm a big fan of Marmot clothing and gear. My ideal product would be the exact same pants but with reinforced nylon yokes and knees for durability.
