Having ordered some less than satisfactory faux leather placemats I have been very pleased with them. They actually look like real leather, are durable enough to last and have a grained leather finish on one side and a smoother finish on the other. Flipping gives you the choice of which finish you prefer. They are a medium burgundy brown that goes well with darker woods. Although they look like leather, they're made of non-porous synthetic material, so minor splatters can be cleaned up without damaging the table underneath. They are easy to clean with a damp cloth, I am very happy with it. My only complaint is that they come in four packs and I needed six so I had to order two packs.
