Review on Pyle Pair 8” Bluetooth Flush Mount In-wall In-ceiling 2-Way Universal Home Speaker System: High-Quality Stereo Sound 250 Watts, White (Single) by Chris Kidd

The disappointment was beyond what I thought possible.

I bought these speakers after seeing an article about the 10 best ceiling speakers. They were out of stock in the UK and I needed them fairly quickly as I'm renovating a kitchen and it was a great opportunity to install some ceiling mounted speakers and on top of that Bluetooth was just what I needed. . I found them at Revain in the US and bought them when they went to the UK. I knew there would be voltage and plug issues, but I had various adapters and low voltage points to deal with that well enough. I can't fault the delivery and they arrived before the expected date. At first glance, they appear huge, which is mainly due to the fact that the grille protrudes far beyond the cones. There was a quick start guide which was more than adequate and there is a template on the lid of the box to cut out for ceiling mounting. They even include a tiny screwdriver for the wiring harness to connect to the Bluetooth repeater. So far so good. I then hooked it up for a test before handing it over to the installer, unfortunately this is where it started to get frustrating. I connected my iPad via Bluetooth and turned on the music. It was a bass number with some mixed vocals and I can only say that I was beyond disappointed, I was quite annoyed because the sound was not only bad but just unbearable. This is the same music I was playing through the TV soundbar a few minutes ago where it sounded fantastic. Unfortunately, there was almost no bass, and the high frequencies were so harsh they even creaked so much I had to turn them off. I tried different music sources, equalizer and aux settings and Bluetooth. The sound was equally bad in all cases. For 250 watts per speaker and a fairly large diaphragm for the mids and highs, that was very poor. The tweeter was too bright and reminded me of nails on the blackboard. They are completely unsuitable for large rooms and for anyone who is used to good sound systems. I am very disappointed and will be back. Now I need to find something that works and I will not trust any of the top ten lists. If you love your music and want an impressive sound solution, I would avoid this product.
