I ordered the Gorilla Grip pad cover on the 22nd of January. It was delivered on January 25th. Read the washing instructions. has a lifetime guarantee up to 300 washes; it holds 8 cups of water. It says NOT to use acidic detergent, but you can use bleach. I thought what the hell do I know? I've used Gain as my first choice and Tide as my second choice of detergents and I didn't want to buy a new detergent just for this pad. I didn't believe this thin thing could hold 8 cups of water without leaking, so I tested it before reviewing. I just bought a new mattress. I removed the bed and placed a large piece of plastic on the open mattress. Then I poured 8 cups of water on this pillow. TERRIBLE, IT WAS WITHSTANDING EVERY DROP! The plastic wasn't wet and nothing was dripping off the pillow when I lifted it face up. DO NOT turn the mat over as all the water will splash out. It passed the test and deserves 5 stars! It comes off a little at night, but not so much that it doesn't give me the protection I need.
