Far from what is advertised

I am giving this one star because it is advertised as a 90/45mb disc. I have 2. Both write at 20MB and both read at 82-84MB. Read speeds are good enough, but it's not even half the advertised write speeds. I'm sure it will work fine with 1080p video recording, but I'm skeptical about 4K video recording. As long as the camera performs compression similar to 4K or UHD Bluray streams, it should work BUT they can't record 4K video at 50/60fps, which is what happens. new DSLRs can give you. I think you need to stick to 24/30 fps. There are discs that write much faster, but of course they cost more. I bought it for the price and assumed I could at least trust the drive. But they need to be advertised with their REAL features so people know what they are buying. My camera is a bridge cam that records 1080p video, which is fine for my needs, so at least they work for me. To edit. I checked the specs of the LUMIX GH5 4K ILC mirrorless camera just for fun and different shooting modes require 150Mbps, 200Mbps and even some modes require 400Mbps. You can shoot 1080 @60p with 10-bit pick up color. Yes, it requires more bandwidth than this drive can provide. The maximum speed this SD can handle is 150 Mbps for some modes. (20 MB * * 8 bits per byte = 160 Mbps). Even the V30 SD can only handle up to 240Mbps, so it can't even handle modes that require 400Mbps capture. You need a V60 SD to record video with this camera for the modes that require it. So can it record 4K videos? Yes, in low frame rate and 8-bit color modes. But it will NEVER be a good choice for a modern 4K DSLR. So note that if you are going to buy an SD card for your new 4K DSLR, you will need a V60 card. If 8K camcorders become a consumer product, they will need a V90 certified SD card.

Pros
