Mobile "night light " for toddler camping (and visibility on the dog)

I didn't even know such a thing existed until I saw a post about guided dog collars for visibility. I started wondering if I could find an LED dog collar small enough to use as a wristband for my little one. Somewhere in my search I found these bracelets which are obviously a lot closer to what I need. I needed something shiny enough for my son to use in the middle of the night when we are camping to find his way around the tent. We have given him his own flashlight but he is still too young to keep an eye on it and at night he will lose it somewhere near him. We put one of these bracelets on his wrist and showed him how to turn it on and off and it was a SUCCESS! Every time he woke up in the night, he would push it and find his way to what he needed. The light inside the strip isn't CRAZY bright, but provides enough light to see. The orange ones are definitely brighter than the blue ones, but I haven't turned on the others yet, nor have I tried lighting them from the cases. We also wrapped one around the dog's collar so we can see him around the campsite when it's dark. They really work like 90's bracelets. I've found that sometimes the battery end doesn't snap into place on its own, but if you push the end it keeps rotating. If you're an adult using this for your biceps, you may have a problem. It would not wrap around my husband's arm at bicep level. Anyway, so far I'm very happy with the $10 investment!

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
