I was looking for a fluoride toothpaste for sensitive teeth because Tom's of Maine no longer makes it. I liked Tom's of Maine - it had a mild pleasant flavor and helped with sensitivities. In my opinion, major brands (Crest, Colgate, Aquafresh, etc., even Sensodyne) fluoride-sensitive toothpastes have a very strong flavor that lingers for hours. I tried the German brand Elmex. Elmex has a mild taste, but it upsets my stomach. In a nutshell, Arm & Hammer's has a slightly off-flavor that could be tolerated. The bottom line is it makes my gums bleed! I went through an elimination process to make sure I wasn't eating or drinking anything else, and it was definitely that toothpaste that was making my gums bleed.
