Revainrating 5 out of 5

Most likely you should count on half the speed

That's not bad because theoretically 10 Gbps or under ideal conditions you can increase the speed up to 10 Gbps. Trust me when I say that with so many different devices, don't expect the maximum. However, I have a USB 3.1 GEN 1 port on my gaming laptop. 3.1 Gen 1 is rated at 5 Gbps, it doesn't get any faster, although it probably won't be that fast anyway. Testing with the Occulus software, I got a throughput of 2.2 Gb/s, which is about half of 5 Gb/s. I didn't have any accuracy issues when testing Occulus Link with Steam VR and playing Half-Life Alex with maximum visual settings. , you shouldn't be using a cable anyway. It's important to be as close to the connector as possible to have as much length as possible, the cable should be plugged in right behind the playing surface, I would say 6 inches, I'm about 1ft tall, which has been since my playing surface normal is quite small. I route the cable through the back of the headband and this keeps the cable on my back. Also, don't look at the computer while playing or you'll lose length if you tie it at the back. The cable seems strong, with a thick braid protecting it, but it's always important to be careful with the cables, if you're going to be tugging, twisting, stepping on those things all the time, well, it won't take a long time. Of course, some cables can handle heavy loads, but I always try to be careful with my cables. For the price I'm happy with this cable, if it doesn't last I'll update this review. If you want as much speed as your USB port can output, which will vary from computer to computer, buy the USB-c fiber optic cable that occulus sells and why it's an expensive cable.
