There is a pencil holder.

The case is nice (the photo doesn't show it), strong, fits the iPad like a glove, also there is a pen holder. Pleasant to the touch (like skin). It goes perfectly with other pieces I've bought and although it fits snugly it's not difficult to put on or take off. That's what I need, no reason to switch again.
