Unstable power supply or connecting peripherals

This docking station is exactly what I need. But unfortunately it doesn't work all the time. I've tried many workarounds, but I can't recommend this product for the following reasons: 1. It doesn't always power my Mac. You can tell by the Mac's power icon telling you the battery is low. This is solvable if you plug your Mac's power cord into a USB-C pass-through slot, but that means you need to reserve a pass-through slot for this use.2. My peripherals are unstable. Most likely it has a keyboard, mouse, camera, etc. attached to it that just won't work for me anymore. Sometimes it helps to disconnect and reconnect the power supply. Sometimes disabling USB works. Sometimes restarting works. But none of them are consistent. Also, sometimes they stop working for just a second, and sometimes for much longer. Imagine you are in a work meeting and suddenly your camera/keyboard/mouse stopped working. I've tried all sorts of solutions to this - like leaving a different power supply plugged in, changing the USB ports used, etc., but the problem is that if one USB port stops working, all 3 won't work, so I can don't even just switch to another port, they're all dead. Also, it's great when it works. I really wanted to keep this because when it works it's sleek and everything I want it to be for a non-clunky dock. But I don't have a keyboard/mouse/camera/etc. accidentally not for me.
