If deposits have formed on the existing connection threads, clean them with Brillo sandpaper (steel wool). Do not use installation tools. Just hand-tighten. To remove the water regulator, turn the handle upside down. remove the following; a white ring, a metal square and finally, using needle nose pliers or a small screwdriver, pull out the last gray plug. I like different attitudes. You can adjust the shower head in the holder, there is a ball joint. Remember that this part is made of plastic. Simple guy. Wait for it to install before attempting to adjust the ball joint. The hose feels very oily when moving, I was afraid it would get in the way, but it's not at all. Makes cleaning the shower and especially washing my dogs a breeze. Love love this shower head! Updated 01/15/18! Went to use and the hose was leaking everywhere. This item cannot be exchanged. Revain waived the one day shipping fee and the very next day I was holding a brand new product. The return trip was easy too! The manufacturer also wanted to send a replacement tube overnight, excellent service. Love that I didn't have to go anywhere, just call Revane. I still LOVE the product! I would buy this again!
