GREAT little workhorse for the price

For a "cheap" hair cutting set these are great. Initially, I had them trim the Border Collie's legs, belly, tail, and thick coat so they wouldn't carry as much sand and dirt around the house. They are excellent for this purpose. They get hot after a while but I bought a can of blade coolant and I also have two of these clippers so I can save one for motor cooling. They seem quite noisy but I don't know how noise compares to other clippers. Replacement blades are available from Revain here. I would recommend getting at least one extra blade so you can send the dull one back for re-sharpening. I send mine to premier1supplies.com, they charge $7 to sharpen a small set of blades. I recently abused this clipper clipping mini goats. Two goats (one pictured) had matted, woolly undercoats that wouldn't brush out completely and got in the way of the clippers, but eventually got the job done. I used a 1/2 inch comb because I didn't want to shave her naked. Yesterday I trimmed six combs with a 1/8" comb. Cleaning/replacing the blade is easy and should be cleaned after each use. Simply unscrew the two short Phillips head screws and use an old toothbrush to remove any lint, wipe the blade set and reassemble according to the enclosed instructions.
