I bought this case to protect my Pixelbook from everyday light bumps and scratches. That's all this case will do for you. It has no padding and no air gaps for medium to hard hard hits or falls. But given that limitation, this case takes up very little space and adds bulk. Since I don't use my Pixelbook in tablet mode, I don't mind that you can't tilt it into tablet mode with the lid on, despite it being a thin design. The fit is snug and doesn't come off easily, which is great. The black version I bought doesn't show through as the picture suggests but I don't mind, it looks better this way and I still put stickers on it. All ports are easily accessible and nothing is blocked (except tablet mode). I only have two problems with this case: 1) There is only one set of rubber feet on the front bottom of the case, while it should have some on the back as well. This can be fixed for pennies at most stores by buying a kit and sticking it on yourself. 2) The lid doesn't cover the Pixelbook at all on the side of the Chromebook's hinges. I guess I can't blame them as there's almost no gap along that edge when the device is open, but it's a minor eyesore, especially on the black version.
