The leather is soft and seems to be of good quality. It’s not a heavy coat. I bought it to replace a similarly styled coat that I’ve used as a winter coat for about the last 14 years. I don’t think this will do the trick. The size I bought (XL) doesn’t seem as fitted as the the coat seems in the listing. I guess they figured us bigger guys need a little more room around the middle. Overall though I’m pretty pleased with it and will be keeping it.
