Review on PAVILIA Plush Robe For Women, Fluffy Soft Bathrobe, Warm Cozy Fleece Robe, Satin Trim by Kenyatta Mack

They fall apart! Fabric is lovely, but they are slapped together too quickly.

The fabric is like this thick, plush velvet, although its probably a synthetic blend, as it washes and dries well on delicate setting in the washer/dryer. The fabric is the best thing about them. Its easy care, and it is thick and very cozy.On second thought, however, I bought several of these robes, and I wear them often, but oh my gosh. I am not sure they are worth it. The ribbon frays something awful. It really does not stay. On one of the robes I got so frustrated that I literally ripped all of the ribbon off it.Regardless though, no matter what, the ribbon frays terribly and completely comes apart, and for some odd reason the sleeves are twice as long as necessary. I did take one, and I cut the sleeves to 3/4 length, which means I cut what felt like tons of the arms off because they were super long to begin with. But, not just the ribbon frays terribly, but the sewing on the sash came apart at the ends, and the robe just comes apart.Unless you want to take the time, or you have a good seamstress to do it for you, and you are willing to go through the entire garment and finish the ends of the sewing properly, as a good tailor would do on quality work, you should expect this robe to come completely apart with wearing and washing. On second thought, I would have paid more for decent quality workmanship, and avoided the aggravation of dealing with these items. Just buy good quality to begin with, and you will not have to be annoyed, and having to practically re-sew your entire robe, just to wear something that doesn't look like its falling apart and embarrassingly shabby.I would not waste my money. Just buy something else that is of better quality, maybe a trusted brand, or such. That's my advice. It is a shame because the soft plush fabric is very pretty and cozy, and comfortable, but after a year of using several of these, they've fallen apart way more than they should have done. I've had jeans, and shirts, and many other items of clothing that didn't fall apart after decades of wear. I am not rough on my clothes, these are just shabby, and that's all there is to it, they are slapped together, probably too fast. These do fall apart, so I do not recommend them. Find yourself some better quality. I even got like five of these, to trade off, and have them last longer, but they don't last long at all! Some started fraying rather extremely after only one washing, and even the hem and the ends of the sashes fray, it just all falls apart. The main problem is that they seem to have just been slapped together as fast as possible, and they are not finished properly, whatsoever. Either the seamstresses didn't know better, or more likely they were under a tremendous time crunch, like some sad sweat shop, and expected to throw these together without finishing up the garments.Too much aggravation! I definitely do not recommend, which is sad because the fabric is quite nice, all things considered, and easy care. The fabric holds up great, it is the sewing of the garments that leaves so much to be desired. The robes are sadly slapped together and not sewn to last past the first washing, definitely not sewn to hold up to many wearings and washings. I honestly do not believe I have ever worn any item of clothing in my life that fell apart so quickly and so completely. I do not know what the manufacturer was thinking! Regretfully, as the fabric is very soft and cozy, I recommend spending more to get something of quality workmanship and durability.

Pros
  • Very soft
Cons
  • The robe may not be suitable for machine washing and require delicate hand washing
