Perspective and context are wonderful things. The product was not warped but I did not use a tape measure to compare the measurements to my actual desk size. It's comfortable but almost long enough to take a nap :). I have a full keyboard and the control panel slides out about 7 inches on BOTH sides! I use marble mice and hold two computers side by side at 90 degrees. mice at the same time. You will notice that the carpet has sections. I can end up cutting 2 sections (9 inches), sew the raw ends of the separated sections and use one for the keyboard and one for the mouse. In other words, it's too long for me. But I will keep it. The only other similar one, 27 inches long and 4 inches, won't make sense for me to trade it in and it will thwart my idea of going to 31 inches. IF YOU HAVE A TRADITIONAL MOUSE THAT YOU NEED TO MOVE (as opposed to a marble mouse), THIS PILL MAY BE TOO LONG FOR YOU, and probably is. Because I use Logitech marble mice (old but good and still available https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Trackman-Marble-Four-Button-Programmable/dp/B001F42MKG/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=logitech +murmel+maus&qid=1595170714&sr=8-2) the marble mouse can sit on the mat, which probably won't work with a conventional mouse. soft and comfortable. I have circulatory problems and some foam inserts, although soft, cut off circulation after a while. It stays pleasant. The cover is made of thin material, like terry cloth, so it is absorbent and soft, at the same time there is enough padding, but not too much. I would give 5 stars if the length was appropriate. 18 inches would be enough.
