A very worthwhile investment!
Drop everything and buy one (or more) of these! As musicians, we occasionally come across places where the performance is sub-par. A few weeks ago we hooked up to a power supply that was putting out 240V instead of 120V (still using regular 120V outlets - dunno). While Tripp Lite exploded and died, it saved our very expensive stands (mic receiver and in-ear transmitter) attached to it. Also, Tripp Lite guaranteed the device and shipped it within a few days. They are amazing and I will never connect to anything without them again.
