I bought the Astro A40 Gen1 headphones in November, which were on sale in Alaska for around $200. You were wonderful. I used them on my Elite 360 and then recently, in the last week or two, bought the 360E, Microsoft's latest model in the 360 line. I was so excited, but then looking at the back of the 360E made my heart sink. there was no optical slot for Astros! I was watching a YouTube video online of a Canadian who was in my position and he suggested ordering them as a remedy for the lack of optical ports on the Xbox 360e. I hesitantly ordered them and pocketed them. drum roll please And miraculously they worked! Thank you, thank you, can't say enough. Post this review here in case anyone in my shoes with Astros has this issue.
