After reading a few reviews I was concerned about the strap. He seems very strong to me. It is a leather braid around a metal hook. I would never throw away a bag if the strap snaps - it would be easy enough to replace. I'm thinking about buying some narrow tape to wrap around to protect it from rubbing. I've been using the wallet for a week, there are no complaints. I'm happy to report that my Kindle and wallet fit perfectly today, along with an index card. A pen, lipstick and a small hand sanitizer show the way. My phone can be anywhere. That's the right length for me. My keys stick to metal rings. And I'm ready.
