Allowed me to convert my 3-pin Tycoon socket to a single-ended (3-pin has 2 positive electrodes; the center electrode is surrounded by a ring electrode - both positive - and a negative filament electrode) Socket extension only touches the middle positive electrode (and of course the negative electrode). The reason I had to do this was so my replacement LED Tycoon light would fit properly. The case on the LED quickly flares up, and the plus in the native socket is hardly enough. Now with the lengthening I get the perfect fit.
