So far so good!

Initial thoughts 9/1/18 - I bought this with the intention of using it for an upcoming trip so I don't have to worry about my phone/Kindle dying after constant use in the Airplane/Daytime. My actual trip doesn't take place until May, so I wanted to find out beforehand. A full charge took a couple of hours, although I didn't keep track of the exact number as I just let it charge while I ran errands and returned to it fully charged. It's quite heavy, not overly heavy, but heavy enough that you have to be careful with it. The flashlight is a nice bonus. It came with a soft mesh drawstring case and a short charging cable. I just used it to charge my phone (Samsung Galaxy S8+) at work. [For those of you with S8+, you may already know that standard Android chargers will not work with this phone. I already have the end of the adapter that I attached to the cable to be able to connect to my phone. So if you don't already have an adapter OR a spare S8+ USB cable, this will NOT work right out of the box with the included cable.] I usually listen to podcasts while I work, which pretty much drains my battery during the day. I decided to charge my phone to 50% at 11:00 am and by 12:20 it was back to 100%. That's almost an hour and a half on a 50% charge while still playing podcasts on my phone. I guess, if I just locked the screen and didn't use the phone for anything else, it might charge a little faster, but at least it's good to know a) that it works and b) it works relatively quickly. I'll try to update this as I test it with additional devices and also after I use it on my trip. ----- Second update 9/1/18 - I left work with the charger in the case and was holding the cable and the cable broke in half and the case slipped through my fingers and fell edge first on the Concrete. The charger is fine apart from a few signs of wear around the edge (photo attached) but it still works which is most important. I will still use the cushion bag as I'm pretty sure it will cushion the fall, but be careful with the drawstring! It obviously won't support the weight of the charger. I was holding it by the string and the string snapped in half and the pouch slipped out of my fingers and fell edge first onto the concrete. Charger is ok apart from the scratches on the edge (photo attached) but it still works which is most important. I'll still use the padding bag as I'm pretty sure it will cushion the fall but be careful with the drawstring! It obviously won't support the weight of the charger.
