I think this blanket is perfect for little kids who love airplanes. This is the second similar blanket I've bought - one for a child, the second for the second. Yes it does get a little "pill" on washing as others have noted but not that much, certainly nothing I didn't like. Fleece does exactly that and I wash it quite often as my potty trained toddlers use it every night. The edges are not torn but remain intact. The colors have not faded. I've had my first one for 18 months so it's been washed and dried many times. The second one didn't come out until around Christmas 2013, so I can't comment on its longevity yet. It's the perfect weight for a little warmth without being heavy. This is perfect for my little ones and they love the plane. I recommend it.
