Okay, I have to tell you that I don't use them for makeup. I use them for creativity. I make handmade postcards and apply a lot of background with stencils and oxide paints. These brushes are GREAT to use in place of Tim Holtz' blend tool. . sorry Tim They swam the ink onto the paper so smoothly that the stencil or paper didn't move at all. It doesn't have a super hard start, so you don't have to worry about more ink on one side of the paper than the other. Simply beautiful beautiful backgrounds! In my photo, where one side of the paper is darker, I pressed down very hard to see if the hair would come out and NOTHING! it was wonderful! LOVE LOVE LOVE these brushes!
