I bought the first one when I was starting to install a solar battery in my RV. No problem. I liked it so much that I bought two more for more complete monitoring. The display is just the right size and the wiring couldn't be much simpler. I would suggest securing the + voltage input at its source depending on what size wire you are connecting to the display and what you want to monitor. The display lines carry a minimum current, except in the event of a short circuit. I used 18/4 Belden to make it easier. There is no other way to securely attach the device other than attaching conductors to either side of the shunt. This makes it slightly more difficult to work in tight spaces or environments where the shunt may be subject to vibration/movement.
