This thing feels solid and dependable. We are more than satisfied with that. Until the kids destroyed it but turned it on its side. (The slightly non-cylindrical shape makes it less fun than our old one.) It's the perfect height for your feet, whether you're sitting in a big comfy chair or lounging on the couch. Our old stuff was destroyed by a toddler and a sharp pencil poking through it. I can't say anything about the thickness of the material yet! 😂😂. It's only been a few months and he hasn't been subjected to the brutal onslaughts of the three boys' power. Though he has survived numerous matches jumping from furniture to furniture in The Floor is Lava. Hope this helps other parents!
