My daughter loves this swim skirt and we love how well it fits! We got her a green one last summer and she loved it. We have hand washed it from time to time and she has worn it in the sea and in chlorine pools, we have hugged it to dry and it still looks great. It's a little shorter than last year but still offers good coverage and looks charming. I bought her purple this summer and at summer camp she bullies just as much if not more and is holding up very very well! Will order another one, maybe in pink, so she can wear another one until next summer when I think the green will finally be too small?! I bought the purple one in 4T so it wouldn't fall off right away and the green one from last summer is 3T but still fits without hurting her hips/waist. They are so well made that I think it's worth the cost of several years of such luscious coverage and amazing styling, all made in the USA! Additionally, the Target suits begin to lose shape after 2 weeks of summer down. It's embarrassing when the suit's legs are loose, I can see her temporarily pulling the fabric in place, so she wears these pants with the tops of another, cheaper Target suit. About your measurements: My daughter is 3.5 years old. years and usually wears 3T in larger garments, now 4T in most things or 5T in some. She is approximately 40 inches tall and weighs 40 pounds. She is tall for her age so we usually buy a size up. Will report on their stats if the 5T turns out to be too big or the 3T finally gets too narrow.
