10/20/21 Not a bad manufacturer and worth the investment A bit of a learning curve so I found the following that may help. * Rough side is smoother on dry skin * Buffer works better on skin after shower * Less pressure is better. You want the napkin to barely touch the skin for a smooth roll. * Less tugging and catching when the non-logo side is facing you. It does not hurt. General. It's a moving device, so too much pressure will cause your skin to stall like a fuse. I had rough heels but my balls were torn and cracked. Does not help. Found by accident that the buffer works better on smooth skin. Even after buffing, the scrubber tore at the skin so badly that a deep treatment was needed to heal it. Now I know that was a borderline case, but sometimes less is more, start carefully. Good luck and happy toes.
