Review on Kensington KeyFolio Pro 2: Ultimate 10-Inch Tablet Keyboard, Case & Stand in Black (K39519US) by Dennis Long

Expensive but worth it

Used with Matricom G-Tab for about a week including for this test. The combination makes it a very good netbook equivalent for email, web forums and light word processing. I had to follow the keyboard pairing instructions *exactly* (turn on tablet, turn on bluetooth in settings, turn on keyboard, press "connect" button on keyboard, initiate pairing in Android, enter a numeric code on keyboard and press hit enter), made several unsuccessful attempts before googling the manual (the included manual wasn't clear). There is a very slight delay registering a keypress, this is a bluetooth issue, not a keyboard or tablet issue (all bluetooth keyboards do this). Otherwise it works as you would expect from a keyboard. I used industrial Velcro on the back of the tablet instead of the included corners, this was mainly for aesthetics (the tablet is white and the corners are black). but it seems a little safer and more reliable this way. The tablet can be wedged into the lines between the keys, giving you more angle adjustment options when using it in touch-only mode (you can't actually use the keyboard while doing this). It sits on my lap most of the time, with the edges of the back of the tablet sandwiched between the toolbar and row of numbers, as that's the best angle for me.

Pros
  • Viewing angle range of 70 to 20 degrees
Cons
  • Not sure
