First of all I like the color red and this case is red so it already has a star! My previous iPad 4 had a red and black Hocase, but I didn't like the fact that the silicone outer shell didn't always adhere to the hard plastic bottom of the case. If you hold it for a long time, it will probably stretch enough for a relaxed fit. This problem has been completely resolved with this case. It nestles tightly against the hard plastic part. I've had it for 5 1/2 months and I love it. I put an anti-glare Tech Armor screensaver on it, which works great with a case. I think this is a good case as I broke my previous iPad's screen by knocking it off my bedside table. This thing won't budge. I can't say anything about the protection of the case from real falls, since there were none. My granddaughter has a refurbished iPad 4 with Hocase (which replaced a foldable case that was not protected even after falling 2 feet onto the carpet) and had no problems with it. Some people complain that something sticks to the silicone, but I make sure the surface I place the iPad on is free of dirt or pet hair, so I haven't had any problems. If it feels a little sticky, I wipe it off with an alcohol wipe.
