Although I have a nice new TV that could be improved by connecting it to my home stereo or even adding some surround sound capabilities, I looked first Line up for speakers I can handle I listen to stereo, mostly vinyl. I had a pair of pretty good sounding Infinity bookshelf speakers that I was looking to replace and they came highly recommended. I'm by no means an audio expert, but they have the nice, clean, punchy sound I was looking for. I'm in an apartment in NYC so I don't really run them or cover a huge area but for now they are giving exactly what I was looking for. The walnut finish looks "ok" but is still pretty cheap up close, which is my only real complaint.
