I've tried several unnamed mop heads over the years without much success. With my new hardwood floors, I wanted to make sure I was getting the best cleaning, so I turned to Bona. The pads are wider than many mops I've tried in the past. I especially like it because it reduces cleaning time. Just be aware of the size of your mop head, unless you're using a Bona brand mop (which I also highly recommend). These pads don't work as well when you use them with small mop heads. I was also very pleased to see that the pads didn't leave streaks or what I call mop marks (the mop pattern you see when you lift the mop off the floor) on the floor. You get what you pay for.
