I love everything about this playmat. We have hardwood floors and they have helped my son spend time more comfortably on his tummy. Once he started to sit up on his own (and do a side somersault), it became even more comfortable. I love that the tiles can be arranged in different patterns to suit different areas. Once he started crawling we bought a 36 piece mat to complete his play area. When you first open it, there is no smell of exhaust fumes. Parts are easy to clean. I use some vinegar/water on a rag to wipe down daily and every few weeks I toss them all in the tub for a more thorough cleaning on all sides. I love that there are no smaller pieces because once my son figured out how to put something in his mouth, he never stopped.
