This is a good face shield, I can't speak about durability because we just got it. The peak can be easily removed for washing or if you just need a hat. The only thing that irritates me is that the plastic shade was folded "wrong" in the middle. So when attached to a hat, due to a crease in the plastic, it bends inward and touches the nose. If the purpose of the shield (instead of the mask) is to avoid touching your face, that's a problem! A little patient work with a hair dryer solved the problem, but flipping the screen the other way would make it a lot easier.
