I was hoping that the more modern and stylish device would fit in my travel bag and the 7730 Precision mobile workstation. Unfortunately, this one is larger and heavier than the ones that come with the computer and Dell dock. This eventually replaces one of them and the lighter "original" stone goes on its journey. The 7730 isn't easy to start, it has a few hours of battery life at ideal power settings, so perhaps the original brick is indeed the expected bane. A workstation's performance is never dependent on its power supply, and the fact that it has a battery is the icing on the cake of the overall performance picture. Will this 240W oversized machine damage my 7+ pound workstation? I'm tempted to toss the charger in checked baggage rather than a computer bag and go to hell with its weight. The bag weighs nearly 30 pounds with two computers and a tablet inside. I'm risking separation because of weight.#FirstWorldProblems
