This dual charging station is fantastic. The station is small so it takes up very little desk/counter space and the power cord is tucked away on the bottom + side so the cord isn't an issue (assuming you use common sense to place it ). ). Placing the controller in the charging station is very easy - just place the controller(s) into the slot (which is effortless) and press down gently. Once your controller is pressed, charging will begin and the light on your controller will turn amber, providing a good visual queue to know your controller is actually charging (some other chargers aren't as obvious). When the controller finishes charging, the light will turn off so you can easily see when charging is complete. To release the controller from the docking station, simply press the controller again, which will slide the controller out of the locked docking position so it can be picked up and moved. Just the way you like it. I have owned and used this charging station continuously for over 3 years and have not had any issues with it to date. This charging station is everything I want from a charger. Aside from simply charging my controllers, it also provides a compact and safe place to store my controllers. Even when your controllers are fully charged, you can leave the controllers locked in the charging position and the charging light will remain off (it will blink once to indicate it's locked, but won't light up when the battery is fully charged). When both controllers are docked to the charging station, the controllers are placed back-to-back to each other and each face outwards instead of upwards, so it actually takes up less space than two controllers side by side (loosely) and also allows you to attach space so you don't have to Worrying about accidentally knocking loose controllers off your desk or wherever you keep them. There are only two things I can point to as potential downsides. First, the charger makes a small, high-pitched noise when charging. It's quiet enough for me not to disturb my sleep, and the charger sits on the bedside table right next to my pillow. If you're super sensitive to noise when trying to fall asleep and absolutely need to charge your controller at night, you might want to move the charger further away from your bed, or maybe experiment with a towel or thick cloth to reduce the noise. Number two relates to light and in turn to sleep. If you can't stand a little light in your room at night, that light might bother you a bit if you're charging your controller while you're trying to sleep. But again, just cover the charging station with a cloth to block out the light and this problem will be solved. My overall opinion: This is the perfect charging station that all PS4 owners should own.
