Just installed these 'brightest' reverse lights on a 2013 Ford Edge. The base of the LED is very thick so you have to work really hard to push the LED into place. There is a small component that catches in the bulb socket, but because it takes so much effort to get it into place, you can jiggle the LED a little until no more components make contact with the bulb socket, and you never do , never, never have to worry about hanging around freely. My sockets were already a little brittle and missing small parts when the original bulbs were fitted, so a few more sockets fell apart when I put these bulbs in. not enough to affect the functionality of the LED lights. Non-polarity, which is great because I think I might need the jaws of life to pull them out of the nest when the time is right. I wouldn't want to try to pull them out to change them. I'm quite surprised they've withstood the abuse and effort it took me to put the LED bulb in, so they seem to be pretty durable. Definitely super bright. At least four times brighter than the "super bright" JDMASTAR they replace. Turns night into day for the reversing camera. I haven't had any luck with these types of bulbs so far so we'll see how long they last. December 2019 still running.
