The shaver came in a nice box made from high quality felt. The razor itself is quite heavy so it doesn't feel cheap at all! The weight adds to its quality. When I first used the shaver it took me a while to get the hang of it as I'm new to wet shaving but now it shaves consistently! I bought it for myself but it would make a great gift for anyone. By the way, I actually reached out to the Shaving Revolution folks on Facebook and asked what happened to the Made in China stuff. They said the steel was made in Japan and shipped to China under GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to manufacture their products through assembly/cutting. Honestly, as long as the steel isn't processed in China, I don't mind.
