I wanted a small bag that would fit a water bottle to take with me on day trips. I took a chance that my water bottle would fit and it worked really well. The picture I've attached is of a Rubbermaid 1pt water bottle and fits perfectly in a bag. I took it to Mass this weekend and the bottle held securely and was easy to slide in and out when I wanted a drink. Disposable water bottles worked too (see other picture). You have to be careful with the width of the bottle as the Rubbermaid bottle is quite narrow and the other pint bottles I tried didn't fit. By the way, I used another compartment for a small folding umbrella so you don't have to put your wet umbrella back into the main compartment of your purse.
