Used after leg vein surgery. I liked the waist version more than the mid-thigh version because it held up better, and I also liked the open toe over the closed one because I could wiggle my toes when they clenched. For me, they were tighter in the foot and calf area and not so tight in the thigh and stomach area. Someone asked me if I lost 20 pounds not knowing I had them I just laughed and said thank you. I can't say I love them because they are difficult to put on.
