I have this side table in black. My husband reads a newspaper every day and I needed a place to fold all of his newspapers neatly for a week or two before recycling them. This tower can actually hold newspapers for a month or more. Although I just recycled all my newspaper (there isn't much paper in it at the moment)... for a visual impression I took some pictures of my desk. I have a metal basket on my desk that I put magazines in or some books that I read. I really like this simple looking multifunction table. My sister owns one of these tables. She placed her desk between two lounge chairs in the living room. On top she puts a stand on which she enjoys her coffee - or any other drink while reading, or an iPad. This is a really handy newspaper/magazine/desk holder! I'm pretty picky, but I know what I like. So I was looking for something similar to kill two birds with one stone instead of a simple magazine rack that wasted vertical space.
