This is my second scanner

The very first one I used on my 1999 Toyota Camry was an OBD1 scanner and I was impressed with the information it gave me . My check engine light came on and it was my first time trying this scanner - it found my problem within a minute and gave me suggestions on what or how to check. It turns out that the check engine light can come on if the gas cap is not fully tightened. I removed the gas cap and then carefully and firmly screwed it on overnight. BOOM! Shut off the engine, waited 5 minutes, restarted the engine and BAM! No more check engine light! So I saw that this OBD2 scanner can give me much more information about my car and read it very easily. The OBD1 is fine - it's not that comfortable to hold while scanning and I've had trouble printing to it. This OBD2 scanner is bigger but much easier to hold and see! I'm older and my vision isn't what it used to be, so I appreciate a big screen like this. I took it to my neighbor and asked if he would like his car checked so I could get a second "opinion" on another car to see how well it was working. The scanner highlighted a few issues that were different from my machine, so it really does the job and gives you an idea of what's going on with your machine. The price is a bit high but when you consider how much it costs to have a mechanic look at your car and then tell you how much it would cost to fix it. Well, as they say, this OBD2 scanner is worth the price!
