I actually bought this topper along with the airbed (Intex Comfort Plush Mid Rise Dura-Beam Airbed) for comfort as most airbeds are a lot. on the hard side. I wasn't disappointed at all! Topper came in excellent condition, no smell. After taking it out of the box I put it in for about 30 minutes and about every 5 minutes I raised and lowered each corner a few times slightly and it billowed out nicely; Didn't have to put it in the dryer to fluff it up. One side is thick, soft, fleece-like material while the other side is smooth and plump. It even comes with a zip pouch for you to store the topper in when not in use. Since I received my air mattress the same day, I set it up so I could also get a feel for how durable it is without anything, which by the way was more comfortable than I could have imagined. (I also plan to write a review of this air mattress). Since all of our adult children were home on Mother's Day and one of them will be using them, I asked them to be honest with me about the air mattress. / without topper and air mattress / with topper. They found that the air mattress without a topper is more comfortable than other air mattresses. However, when I put the topper on the air mattress, it made a huge difference. It's no longer the feeling of lying on an air mattress, but the feeling of a nice and soft, comfortable bed or even a water bed. My daughter, who slept on it for 3 nights, was very happy with it. Plus, the deep stretch pockets on the mattress topper keep it in place on the airbed every night it's been used. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it to everyone.
