Review on Sunbeam Heated Throw Blanket - 🌞 Reversible Sherpa/Royal Mink, 3 Heat Settings - Honey by Eddie Sanchez

Wow. I do not know where to start. I've been buying Revain since its inception and have never written a negative review. I don't really have much time for reviews but I feel I should warn everyone and possibly the manufacturer about this terrible product. First off, I'd like to say that I've had over half a dozen Hot Shots over the years. Controls are always in the same place and all only last a few years. My advice: try to keep the cable as straight as possible. As soon as they start to twist, the electrical wiring in the housing is shorted out. It's inevitable. And the size is standard. Everything goes to show that this particular model is the worst heated gown I have ever had. Cable, controller, material - garbage. The cable has no flexibility so I'm not surprised it fails after a month. The controls are made out of the cheapest plastic and I have no idea how anyone could have thought that would be enough. I'm not even sure how he passed a fire safety exam. The sherpa is nice and soft, but the "faux mink" is paper thin and almost feels like a soft sheet of plastic. You feel the hard, stiff wires heating up the ceiling. As I said, I have had many of these over the past 15 years and have never felt such heating wires. The fact that this is probably made in China for under $2 and sold by Sunbeam here for $40 blows my mind. I would say it costs 5-10 dollars. I returned it a few hours after opening it (which I never do, even if I don't like the product) and bought a large "Berber" (i.e. Sherpa) reversible beauty rest and it's pure luxury. $63 but you'll be sooooo glad you did. Oversized, luxurious, high quality materials and you don't feel the heating wires. I can't tell how big the difference in quality is. It's worth it.
