Epson ink cartridges are too expensive for my XP-800. A year ago I blew ink too fast. It cost me a small fortune. I could buy this printer several times. As I was preparing for our 50th anniversary gathering and I wasn't done yet, I just invested in another Epson printer that will have refillable ink tanks. Works great but I kept my old XP-800. The cartridges still had ink and he printed directly to CD/CVD. I recently decided to make some Christmas CDs for my family. After printing 2 labels it gets stuck because 2 cartridges are out of ink. Didn't want to spend so much money on ink. I decided to try this ink, I got all the cartridges for about the price of an Epson cartridge. I thought it might be worth a try. It worked great. My XP-800 gave me a message saying I'm not using Epson ink but also gave me the option to continue. I printed all the labels on the rest of the CDs so I'm very happy with them.
