The build quality on this thing is very good. And it'll work if you put it vertically. But that's about all the good stuff I can say about this.The main issue is that this is way too short. At 10.4in, this is shorter than any kitchen paper roll in our house. The average American kitchen paper roll is 11in long/tall. That would mean that this holder needs to be AT LEAST 11 inches PLUS an end cap or some sort of angled structure at the end that holds the paper towel from sliding off horizontally.Instead, this whole thing fails horribly because of its length (it's 10.4in at the end 'cap'). Damn shame since it looked nice out of the box until I actually tried it.It might work for toilet paper rolls since they're very short but not for kitchen tissue rolls. But in this case, it's a bit too long for a single roll - and you'll need to put two toilet paper rolls next to each other because they would need to be braced against each other to be able to pull.
