Very impressed with the quality of the headlights for the money. This was a direct replacement for my 2503 Dodge 2500 with factory taillights so I did not use the wiring that came with it. I used the foam pad that came with it, but siliconized both sides of the pad and the threads of the screws. You can probably get away with caulking the headlights around the edges, but I found it cleaner to run a bead over the gasket and then gently tighten the headlights. I wouldn't rely on the gasket alone to keep water out of the cockpit, so use a sealer. Also, be careful when tightening and sealing the screws. I suspect a lot of the negative reviews about water in flashlights are due to people breaking the lenses by over-tightening. The headlights are bright enough and there's no glare on the hood at night like some crazy bright LED taillights.
