I liked it very much. first on fixed showerheads

It was really amazing at first, great volume and pressure after removing the restrictor. The colors were cool and knowing my shower was done made my days more enjoyable. wife liked it too. Then it happened. About 3 months later it first started with some random screams to startle you first thing in the morning when your eyes are closed and you are vulnerable. For a few more weeks it became a prolonged howling and screeching with intermittent silences that offered little windows of relief to your ears. I tried to fix it, unscrewed the threads, cleaned it in CLR, replaced the o-ring. I failed. By the time he was 6 months old he would squeak non-stop without repeating, just a short, even louder and more shrill bark punctuated by a constant otherwise monotonously debilitating screech right next to your head. Passing viewers somewhere between black and white on an anatomy TV show, we named our showerhead McScreamy. McScreamy couldn't take it, waking my wife up in the morning and drowning out her tunes at night. We took baths to avoid it. We ended up buying a replacement for it, we didn't like it like McScreamy at first but it's normal and less likely to cause hearing loss. We sent McScreamy upstairs where my almost teenage boys have been getting more and more downpours lately. They seem to be coming in and out a lot faster lately, and because I can hear McScreamy downstairs, around the house, or even outside, I always know when they're in and out so I can make sure they're not wasting water. May be. That was my punishment for removing that limiter :(

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Big and bulky
