Why do you need 200ft of red cellophane? To put a bow on my elephant? In fact, I only needed 2 or even 3 linear feet of this product. I'm making a 3D chess board (like in 1960's Star Trek) for my husband for Christmas. I have a computer and computerized tools to do all of this except for the red squares on the game boards. How do you make them red? At first I thought I would laser engrave the red squares and then fill in the engraving with clear red epoxy. But then I realized that the red color should not be so deep. I could apply the red squares the same way the window tint is applied. But so that the squares do not move when washing, I think that I will use glue to hold them in place. What about the other 198 or 197 feet? Well, if this turns out to be the same as the ampersand kite, my brother and a couple of nephews will want those chessboards too. To be honest these things are good to have on hand. He makes a cool "napkin" in gift bags and boxes. It does not wrinkle, but can be crumpled. I can donate what I don't use to a local school and she can use it to help new readers deal with dyslexia symptoms, or she can use it to decorate a stage full of candy trees. Thinking about it, I might leave some of this to cover my LED spotlights during the holiday season. For those of you who are like me and can't remember that 2.5 mil translates to "feel fat", that's not very fat. But in my opinion it is thick enough. As for the shade of red, I would call it primary red or Christmas red. It has no orange tint.
