This screen looks great when you are right in front of it. Slight movements to the right/left or up/down are more clearly perceptible than on most flat screens. This is even more evident as the stand has no up/down adjustment and the tilt adjustment is only around 8 degrees. Put it on a stand or some books and you'll be fine. Midtones are too green if accurate color reproduction is important to you. I fixed this by significantly lowering the gamma for green (only) with QuickGamma. Highlights burn out above 85% and shadows turn completely black below 15%. I couldn't fix it with the brightness/contrast controls, but I bent the response curve a bit in two places using my nVidia software. This is a good clear general purpose monitor. As with most HP monitors I have worked with, do not attempt any color critical work without third party software.
